On behalf of the World Seagrass Association and the ISBW13 Organising Committee, a limited number of student grants will be made available to help students attend the ISBW13 in 2018.
The Evamaria Koch Student Travel Grant was set up in 2014 in memory of Dr Evamaria Koch. This travel grant has been crucial to helping students who require assistance to attend ISBWs. For ISBW13, we have obtained additional funding for several ISBW13 Regional Student Travel Grants to encourage young scientist participation from around Asia. This grant will prioritise students and early-career researchers who are currently involved in seagrass research and conservation in Asia.
The application is open to all students as well as early-career researchers (defined as having graduated, or obtained a masters or PhD degree on or after 11 June 2017). Priority will be given to students from developing countries, but students from other countries may also apply. Students may apply irrespective of whether they have already paid ISBW13 fees or not. Instructions to apply can be found here.
